Gnomesummer – The Complete Gnome Warband – Free Paper Miniatures

When your quiet forest gets found, you defend it with what you have.

These aren't the tinkering, goggle-wearing kind of gnome. They're the gnomes of the old storybooks: pointed hats,  spectacles, four hundred years old and pacifists to the core. Then the orcs came for the timber, the goblins came because goblins always come, the elves came to "protect" the woods, and the wolves found new masters. The gnomes had no warriors. They didn't even have a word for it. So they improvised.

This free set of paper miniatures features a full warband of 5 gnomes and 2 geese (all front and back):

• The Spear-Guard – holding the line with a spear that's mostly a walking staff. Not a soldier, just somebody's mother with a pointy stick.
• The Mender – the village doctor, four hundred years of setting birds' wings, and the only one carrying nothing that could hurt anyone.
• The Woodcutter – the one gnome whose tool was already a weapon, and who is quietly disturbed by how good he is with it.
• The Acorn-Slinger – a shepherd's sling and a pouch of acorns. Eighty years of scaring crows off the seedlings. She does not miss.
• The Geese Keeper – the village matriarch with the store-room keys, a rolling pin, and two very angry geese almost as tall as she is.
• 2 War Geese – territorial, furious, and provided on their own bases so you can field a whole gaggle.

The minis are provided in full color with bold outlines, easy to print, cut, and mount on bases. They're perfect for:

• Fantasy skirmish games like Age of Fantasy: Skirmish (One Page Rules).
• Roleplaying encounters that need woodland folk – as villagers, ngerous foes.
• Any print-and-play wargaming session.

At roughly 30 mm to the tip of the hat, they stand comfortably alongside 28 mm-scale minis – and drop straight in against the Goblintober goblin warband, if you have it.

This set is part of an ongoing side project where I'm making new ds to play with – goblins last autumn, gnomes this summer. It was created for Paper Miniature Jam 4.
